Hong Kong’s coffee culture is up and coming and many coffee shops are popping up in all corners of the city. Elephant Grounds has received decent reviews on OpenRice so I was excited to try this new hipster joint.
Coffee
On this particular visit, we tried a Flat White, French Vanilla and the Elephant Ground Ice Coffee. The French Vanilla came highly recommended by the barista. There was no sugar added to the French Vanilla; yet the fresh cream and freshly scraped vanilla bean lent a delicate sweetness to the drink. The Bulletproof Coffee on the menu is a specialty – it contains butter and is meant to give you a midday jolt. To this, I graciously passed.
The Other Stuff
Elephant Grounds is a cute little hideaway cafe located at the back of WOAW lifestyle concept store. There are bar stools and al fresco seating on the tiny patio. During busy times, it’s impossible to find a seat.
