Food
We ordered a chicken caesar salad, mushroom omelette, and a decadent chocolate ice cream dessert at Paris 6. The mains were mediocre. The chicken in the caesar was bland and the salad was not restaurant quality. The omelette was too greasy. The bread and its cover charge (couvert) was optional at this restaurant. The best part of the meal was the pistachio ice cream popsicle, which we requested as a substitution for the original chocolate popsicle.
The Other Stuff
We opted to sit on the enclosed patio, but the decor on the inside was evocative of a quintessential Parisian café. Paris 6 restaurant was open by 12pm on New Years Day when many other restaurants remained closed. This Parisian café in the heart of São Paulo has two locations on the same street, just a block apart. We went to the venue closer to Av. Paulista.
There was only a short wait at Paris 6 for our table on New Years Day. None of the waitstaff spoke English, but our waiter used a translator app on his phone to communicate with us, which was very helpful!
